Oppositionism and opportunism are cousins

I got one word for oppositionists/opportunists. It has letters f and k.

Fake. This is my description of politicians who have long identified themselves with the opposition camp, but because of their ambition to get reelected this year, they will adopt whatever means–even jumping ship–just to achieve the ambition.

Of late, I learned that two certain politicians associated with anti-Administration political party defected to another having a pro-Administration bent. One is brother of a popular TV personality (who they say looks like me :-)). Another is sister of my favorite glib hero Ninoy Aquino.

I’m not suprised, though. Rigodon and sycophancy are always fashionable in Philippine politics. They are useful tools for traditional politicians (trapos) with their clans wanting to perpetuate their power like forever.
